Printer Select
The printer select provides 4 selections:
1 Com Port 1
2 Com Port 2
3 Com Port 3
4 Printer Select
Use the pointer to select a port to configure and then press the Enter key.
The display prompts “End of print character: xx” where xx is the current value of the
EOP character. The end of print character is sent to the printer at the end of a print
transmission. If your printer requires a special character to release the paper or to form
feed the paper, enter the code here. The ASCII chart in the appendix lists the ASCII
codes and their numeric values. Enter a 0 (zero) if no end of print character is required. .
The display prompts “Auto cr after lf: x where x is Y or N. Some printers require a line
feed character (lf) to advance the paper and some printers advance the paper with only a
carriage return character (cr).
Enter a Y to automatically add a line feed after a carriage return.
Enter an N to NOT add a line feed after a carriage return.
Event Monitor
The Event Monitor selection presents the following menu:
1 Setpoints
2 Timers
3 Keyboard
4 Scale Basic Fn Edit
5 Scale Basic debug: x
6 Display Update Rate: xx
7 TTL input enable: x
8 Clock adjust: xxx
The event monitors scan for events and can be used to execute scale basic functions when
an event occurs.
Setpoints
The DT220 can monitor up to 15 setpoints. Each setpoint has 3 parameters: the upper
register number, the lower register number, and the function number. Use the Cont. (
)
and Review (
) keys to position the edit block to a parameter value. Use the numeric
keypad to enter a new value. Press the Enter key to complete the entry. Press the Clear
Entry key to exit setpoint data entry.
